Cross-sector collaboration in Dolnobřežansko region in Praha - Západ district

7 Abstract The diploma thesis analyzes the relations and cooperation between civil, state and market sectors in the suburban region of Dolnobřežansko. The aim of the thesis is to describe the current state of cooperation between civil society organizations and the other two sectors in terms of its forms in a specific territorial unit. A partial goal is to understand how the subjects' motives for cooperation, or the expected benefit from it, are related to the choice of its specific form and how it is then managed for individual forms of cooperation. Forms of cross-sector collaboration and relations in the region are examined and categorized on the basis of two theoretical concepts, or typologies, according to cooperating entities. In the practical part of the thesis, a research investigation is carried out identifying the specific forms of cross-sector collaboration in the region, the motives of individual subjects on the basis of which they choose individual forms, as well as the way of managing mutual relations. Changes in the funding of the Centre for Integration of Foreigners o. p. s. in context of the refugee crisis 2022

This thesis examines the changes in the funding of a selected non-governmental non- profit organization in the context of the refugee crisis in 2022. The emphasis is on understanding the changes in the funding of the organization, focusing on the different areas that provided financial support to the non-profit organization in 2022. Particular emphasis is placed on the changes in the funding of the non-profit organization by market actors. Through the study of annual reports, the external environment of the organization, its influences on the organization, has been mapped, including setting it in the refugee crisis of 2022, the context of which is the starting point for the thesis. The discussion at the end of the thesis provides possible explanations to understand the decision-making processes of the selected NGO in the context of the 2022 refugee crisis with reference to funding. The thesis also outlines the possible potential involvement of increased corporate funding towards NGOs. Collaboration forms between Business and Nonprofits within CSR strategies

Recently in the Czech Republic, more attention has been focused on the social responsibility of companies. Companies become members of professional platforms, in which they gain and deepen their knowledge. The vital part of CSR is cooperation within the civil sector. The goal of this thesis is to focus on this cooperation within the Czech environment. For my own research I have been using the typology of the authors Wymer and Samu, who look at different ways of management and the benefits gained from different types of cooperation. I compare and find differences in this typology through analysis of documents and questionnaires of companies active in professional platforms. The cooperation established between companies and NGOs is different in the case of agreements on the use of the logo and the name of non-profit organizations, sponsorship, joint issue promotion and corporate philanthropy, both greater involvements of the non-profit sector, and given benefits.

Social Capital of Civil Society Organizations: Interorganizational Relations Across All Sectors

SYNOPSIS The diploma thesis deals with social capital of Civil Society Organizations, which is introduced here as a strategy for achieving the objectives and mission of Civil Society Organizations through networking and building relations with key players in their surroundings. Through the example of Civil Society Organizations providing services in Tábor the diploma thesis provides insight into the problematic of creation and maintenance of interorganizational relations with stakeholders across all sectors and therefore building external social capital of organizations. The theories of social capital and interorganizational relations with regard to the specifications of Civil Society Organizations are presented in the theoretical part of this thesis. The research part presents findings based on qualitative research, which was conducted through semi-structured interviews with representatives of Civil Society Organizations. The findings and results are and summarized in the conclusion.

Cooperation Model between NGOs and Probation Service Liberec in the Punishment of Public Works

The objective of this diploma thesis is study of cooperation between Probation service Liberec, which represents public sector, and the NGOs as representatives of civil sector. These organisations provide means for people who are sentenced to punishment of community service. The aim of this study is identification of a model of cooperation, show the development of this model since its beginning in 2002, and finally, to introduce the external environment that influences this model. The theoretical basis crucial for this thesis is a Bryson, Crosby and Stones's concept of Governing Public-Nonprofit Collaborations. They focus on governing structure, governing processes, rules and external environment, which makes the structure of my study. The design of the research used in this diploma thesis is a case study. Data were gathered by method of semi-structured interviews of probation workers and by analysing of documents related to laws, methodical standards and other resources.

Cross-Sectoral Cooperation in the Field of CSR: A Case Study of the Food Bank for Prague and Central Bohemia

This diploma thesis deals with cross-sectoral cooperation in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This topic is researched using a case study of the Food Bank for Prague and Central Bohemia and food chains that have established a cooperative partnership with the organization. Empirical research took the form of an initial fieldwork, interviews, and analysis of websites and other available documents. The thesis aims to introduce the insufficiently- explored issue of food banks and CSR that is created around them by food chains. First, it deals with the types of cooperation that occur within these relationships and proceeds to explore their dynamics. Furthermore, it examines the motivations of chains for cooperation and the appraisal of mutual cooperation both on their part as well as the part of the food bank, a representantive of the non-profit sector. The thesis can serve as an inspiration for further research on the topic of food banks or cross-sectoral cooperation that would involve perspectives of entities from both cooperating sectors as this represents a fact that is often overlooked in research. Marketing as a tool for civil society organizations to promote public interests

The diploma thesis deals with the use of marketing strategies as tools of civil sector organizations to promote public interests. The first part of the thesis serves to clarify the theory of organized civil sector, marketing strategies of civil sector organizations and the legislative process in the Czech Republic, including clarification of the concept of public interest. The second part of the thesis consists of qualitative empirical research, which aims to describe the whole form of the selected campaign created to promote public interest in the form of legislative change while understanding how campaigners evaluate the campaign and how they perceive cooperation between civil society organizations and marketing agencies for the implementation of the campaign. The chosen research method is a case study of the successful marketing campaign of the czech civic sector organization Svoboda zvířat, which contributed to the promotion of the public interest. Expert volunteering from the viewpoint the non-profit sector

The diploma thesis deals with the intersectoral cooperation between the non- governmental organizations (NGO) and the expert volunteers from the market sector. In the theoretical part, the work is devoted to individual sectors of the economy with an emphasis on the market sector and the civil sector, the causes of intersectoral cooperation, the intersectoral cooperation models and the phenomena that the intersectoral cooperation can potentially bring about. The aim is to find out how this cooperation is perceived by NGO staff through the theoretical framework of professionalisation and commercialization of civil society organizations. Using a qualitatively oriented research, the thesis examines the intersectoral cooperation of a participants in the Vodafone Foundation Year Differently project.
